Roberta M. Graham

Roberta M. Graham was born in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1954. From early in her career, she has explored the violent relationship between the human body and the world. Many of her hand-coloured photographic prints relate to her series of light-box works exploring mortality and the frailty of the body. She has worked in photography, video, slide/tape, performance and installation.

She has been in exhibitions including: at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Serpentine Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Berlin Film Festival, the Hayward Gallery, Tate Liverpool, the Barbican, the Manchester City Art Gallery, the Arnolfini and the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford. In 2022, she showed with England & Co at Paris Photo. Collections include the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Arts Council of England and the Australian Arts Council.
