Martyn LastMartyn Last (1961-2015) was born in Holland and studied at the Rijks Academy of Fine Arts, Amsterdam (1979-82). He lived between Amsterdam and London and exhibited in Britain, Holland, Germany and India. His relief works, drawings and paintings often relate in form and subject to the trinkets and souvenirs he has collected on his travels. Last's series of small bronzes, which he describes as 'the compressed debris of our civilization left behind after The War of the Worlds', were included in the exhibition Is there anybody out there? at England & Co in 2008.
