HipkissHipkiss are known for highly-detailed figurative drawings, that range in size from very small-scale works to extensive panoramas. Early works depict landscapes or cityscapes with intricate towers, buildings, trees and figures that celebrate both natural and man-made beauty. Hipkiss has exhibited widely in Europe and America: in the USA, at Intuit, Chicago; the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Wisconsin; and the American Folk Art Museum, New York. Hipkiss works have also been included in exhibitions at Tate Britain and the Whitechapel Gallery in London; the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, NL; FRAC Picardie, France; the New Museum, New York; and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin. Hipkiss was included in several England & Co group exhibitions including Obsessive Visions in 2001. England & Co held two solo exhibitions of Hipkiss drawings, in 2000 and 2002, and published a catalogue in 2000.
