Anthony Miller

Born in 1914 with only one eye, Miller was confined to hospital from the age of six. He could not read or write and communicated through his pictures. His drawings, made with pencils, are dazzling visions of the northern England urban world outside the hospital that fascinated him. Miller's work was included in the exhibition Obsessive Visions: Art Outside the Mainstream at England and Co in 2001.
